When you lay out your restaurant tables, you’re going to want to think about two things. First, you’ll want to consider the overall feel that you’re creating. Then you’ll want do make sure that when the diners come they’ll have the space they need.
(source)The Keg’s interior kept the old building’s stone wall and an unfinished ceiling, and they added some classy wood furniture and pending ceiling lights on top of each tables. The restaurant had a business casual type of setting. It was Valentine’s Day, so it was crowded and very noisy; however there was enough space between tables to have your own space.
When you choose a restaurant layout, the above review should be something that you keep in mind: even when you’re filled to capacity, even when the volume starts getting loud because a lot of diners are carrying on conversations, it’s important that those who have come in feel like they have enough space to eat, have their own conversations and enjoy the time that they spend in your restaurant.
It seems as though this should be a simple and straightforward issue, however if you read enough restaurant reviews you’ll find that there are plenty of restaurant owners who do not consider it. Choosing a restaurant table layout isn’t rocket science; just a bit of careful planning and you can be sure that everyone is comfortable and satisfied.
