Restaurant Table Design: Choosing the Right Finish

January 20th, 2008 · No Comments

Wouldn’t it be great if, after you decided on a style for the tables that you’ll be using in your restaurant, you were good to go?

Instead, after you’ve chosen the shape, style and size of restaurant tables, you’re going to be faced with another big decision: what finish will be ideal for the wood?

You’ll have the basic options all of which can blend in with a number of different styles and layouts:

  • Natural
  • Cherry
  • Walnut
  • Light or dark mahogany
  • Black

But then you’ll have to take a closer look at special finishes - something that’s advisable for those who really want to capture a certain look or those who are creating a high end restaurant. These options include:

  • Regal cherry
  • Various shades of mahogany that are darker and lighter than the standard stain
  • Honeyed oak

Think about the theme of your restaurant; consider all of your lighting options. When you do, choosing the right finish and table design will be far simpler.
