It may be stating the obvious. However, if you are going to buy restaurant furniture then I highly recommend buying commercial quality restaurant furniture. It has been designed and manufactured to withstand the workload of a commercial operation. Many restaurant owners choose the wrong option and buy what is essentially, domestic quality furniture.
Is there a difference between the two? Most definitely. Domestic furniture is not made to withstand the load that comes with a commercial operation. Sure, they are cheaper, sometimes the difference not all that significant, but over a short period of time the cost of replacements will soon out weight that initial cost savings.
Commercial quality furniture is just that - commercial quality. Chairs, tables and bar stools are all made of long wearing materials. If you were to compare chairs you will notice that commercial quality chairs use steel or aluminum that is thicker and stronger; timber is also of a higher quality with attention given to extra supports and braces where required.
What is more important is what comes with the fine print. Commercial quality restaurant furniture comes with warranties that cover the product in a commercial environment. Domestic furniture generally has a warranty that restricts cover to domestic use only, even if the product is found to be faulty - the moment you use it in a commercial environment you void the warranty.
Generally speaking, when buying commercial quality restaurant furniture, the warranty, whilst ensuring peace of mind, is rarely required. A second issue to look at with commercial quality furniture is quantity. If you are starting a restaurant, chances are you are going to require significant numbers when it comes to your furniture. You need to be sure those quantities are not only available now, but likely to be available down the track should you require more. Domestic furniture is continually changing and if the price is cheap, it is most likely the end of the range.
Don’t risk your restaurant’s reputation buying cheap domestic furniture. Find a supplier of commercial quality restaurant furniture and start your restaurant off on the right foot. Your customers will appreciate it and over time, so will your bank balance.

Its true that we need to do lots of research before we can find right furniture as per our requirement. But at the same time i also think that using traditional furniture gives a ethnic look to your decor.
