There is one thing in a restaurant’s life that you can be assured off - everything including your restaurant furniture will age. You can slow it down but you can never stop it. If you know how, let me know, and I will apply to myself
Of course, there are many things that you can do that will help to slow down this process. You should always refer to the manufacturers cleaning guides first, however, depending on the materials used you can follow some of these tips:
Wood Finishes - use a liquid cleaner and a wax polish to retain luster as well as cleanliness.
Chrome Finishes - Use a non-abrasive glass cleaner to remove dirt and fingerprints.
Powder Coat and Wrinkled Finishes - use a damp cloth to remove smudges and dirt. For stubborn stains, soap and water may be used.
Laminate - Wipe surface with liquid soap and water regularly. Stubborn stains could be removed with a paste of baking soda and water. Rinse thoroughly after use.
Upholstery Fabric and Vinyl We suggest you read and follow the manufactures instructions when it comes to maintaining upholstery.
If you look after your restaurant furniture you will get years of service from it. Fail to look after it and you will only get the one year - if you’re lucky. Check with manufacturers warranty conditions as well - failure to maintain your restaurant furniture could render the warranty void.
