Consider Diversity In Your Restaurant Furniture

September 19th, 2009 · No Comments

You can really make a restaurant a lot more interesting just by diversifying your restaurant furniture. In corners, you could use ‘L’ shaped booths, for casual diners you could incorporate an eating bar with bar stools, and using a mix of square, rectangular and round tables.

By mixing your restaurant furniture you open up the opportunities for squeezing extra diners into a limited space. Families, especially those with young children, often appreciate booths. ‘L’ shaped booths allow parent to ‘lock’ their children in, one parent sitting either side of the ‘L’.

Round tables can be ideal for couples or threesomes whilst square and rectangular tables are ideal for groups of four or more. Bars or counters are great for those dining alone or who want to come in for a quick bite.

Having diversity can also look more attractive. A restaurant that is full of the same furniture can look almost military in appearance. By breaking up the eyeline with restaurant furniture of different sizes and heights can take away that ultra formal appearance.

Restaurant furniture diversity also has cost advantages since you can use cheaper furniture in some areas. Different furniture also has different turnover rates so you will never need to replace all your furniture in the same year. Diversity - it creates interest, even in restaurant furniture.
