Your Restaurant Furniture Layout Should Give Customers What They Expect

June 12th, 2008 · No Comments

When you start looking into choosing a restaurant furniture layout, it’s important to have a feel for what your customers are going to expect.

In some cases, you’ll find that the goal is to create an atmosphere, cater to diners who are looking for something classy but expected, and the chance to focus on the people they are dining with and on the meal itself. Take, for example, the following review of a San Francisco restaurant:

(source) Walk in and you’d think you’re in Paris. Classic bar/restaurant layout, with the full bar at the center of attention, and an upstairs that surrounds it and overlooks it. The atmosphere goes perfectly with the opera/symphony/ballet/NPR crowd. Elegant, charming, and old school.

When you’re looking to do something more and to choose the right restaurant furniture layout for your establishment, you’re going to want to be sure that your customers are going to find what they are looking for. If they are looking for a classy, upscale restaurant, you’re going to want to be sure that the layout you choose accounts for it. Likewise, if your customers are looking for casual, you’re going to want to be sure that they get what they’re looking for.

Your restaurant furniture layout is a big part of setting the stage for your restaurant; shouldn’t you be sure that you’re focusing on the big picture?
