When you first set out and start to think about your restaurant furniture layout, you’re going to want to make sure of two things:
- You’re going to want to know that you are getting the support that you need throughout the process of choosing a restaurant furniture layout.
- You’re going to want to read reviews of other restaurants.
By taking the time to see what reviewers are saying about the restaurants that they have gone into, you are going to be able to learn a whole lot about what not to do.
Here’s a great example:
The room layout dictates inefficiency; the cooler door opens in front of the bench we were sitting on, and the takeout counter is at the back of the room, so there’s constant choreography. People waiting for tables squeeze together as close as they dare to allow take-out customers a thoroughfare, then flow back into the space until another customer begins the excuse-me litany.
Then, there was drama: Like an acrobat, a server inched through the crowd with an impossibly high stack of pizza-ready boxes, then, as a momentary silence descended on the crowd, flawlessly slid them into a waiting spot on top of the counter. Clearly, this had been done before: There was a space of less than one box’s height between the top box and the ceiling.
Ultimately, the above review showcases a flawed restaurant furniture layout - there’s no room for the staff to get around, the waiting area isn’t very welcoming and there are problems with the fact that the takeout area is the whole way at the back of the restaurant. However, by making sure that you are able to take a look at reviews like the one above, you will be able to feel a bit better about your options and about the restaurant furniture layout that you ultimately choose.
