When you think about your restaurant furniture layout, one of the most important things that you can consider is the comfort of your customers. Specifically, one of the things that you should be thinking about and mapping out in terms of the layout is whether or not the layout will be welcoming.
When your customers walk in the door, what will they see? This is one of the best questions that you can ask yourself.
Consider the restaurants that you enjoy going to, then ask yourself:
- What is the entry way like?
- Is there a comfortable place to sit if there’s a wait?
- How far do I have to go from the hostess stand to the tables?
- What am I looking at when I sit down?
- How’s the lighting?
- Do you feel like you’re sharing a table with another dining party or do you space?
Those questions are all good things to think about. You can even take it a step further and get a feel for whether or not the same layout could work for you by sketching out that restaurant’s furniture layout.
It’s your job when you open a restaurant to make sure that your customers will be comfortable; choosing the right furniture layout is a bit part of this.
