Restuarant Furniture Layout and Design: Getting the “Wow” Factor

March 8th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Sometimes, when you’re opening a restaurant, you want to be sure that you’re getting the best of everything. You make the menu perfect, hire the best qualified staff members and - oh yeah - know that from the moment they walk through the door, your customers deserve to be wowed.

The furniture layout and design that you choose for your restaurant can make a huge difference in the impression that customers have.

Take this example:

(source)Co-owner Zywina was in charge or redesigning the restaurant, which they envisioned would “feel like an Italian or European restaurant.” Singh said they were going for an upscale, southern Italian look, with large wood columns from floor to ceiling, hardwood floors and Roman statues throughout. The rust and butterscotch tones, along with suede green furniture and an open kitchen overlooking the dining room gives the restaurant a warm feel.

“I like people to feel like ‘Wow!’ when they come in,” he said of the interior.

The "wow" factor isn’t something that you’ll just find; it’s something that takes some planning and forethought - and the right restaurant furniture layout and design. Choosing the right colors, the right materials and the right setup makes all the difference in the world.

chair ht brings out the wow factor …tables are 30″ high…chairs with an attractive back both in terms of design & fabric treatment with a ht of 34″ or more stand out in a dining room vs lower back chairs
