Restaurant Furniture Layout and Design: Turning Something Old Into Something New

March 5th, 2008 · No Comments

When you decide that you’re going to make some changes to your restaurant, a few small changes to your restaurant furniture layout and design can make a great big difference. For example, let’s say that you’re looking to make the switch from a casual, laid back almost bar-like setup into a restaurant that offers some more high end menu items: the challenge is, you need to make the place look the part too.

With a few minor changes, you’ll find that it’s possible to revamp your restuarant furniture layout and design and to make the transition go smoothly.

You may find that some of the bar furniture that you’ve used in the past can translate into more intimate, two-seater tables. Similarly, you may find that the same tables that you’ve already had can be covered with new tablecloths so that - rather than replacing tables and chairs, you can invest more in new chairs for the dining room.

Adding sofas rather than traditional benches for waiting can help to provide a more upscale feel, and some changes that are even smaller - a fresh coat of paint or even new napkins - can also do a lot to turn it around; while there may be similarities, your customers will know that they’ve stumbled into a whole new place.
