When it comes to restaurant chair design, different owners and designers tend to have some different opinions about what it’s going to take to create an atmosphere where patrons feel like they’re at home. In part, this could be that a sense of home is something that varies - for some, comfort comes from sitting down, family style, at restaurants where the tables have checkered table cloths. For others, comfort comes from that great feeling they get when they walk into their favorite bar, see their friends and are able to set aside all of the stress of their day.

In part, that’s going to depend on the feel and atmosphere that you’re going for: if your thing is fine dining, high tables and bar stools are not likely to be the right choice for your needs. If, however, you’re going for casual, for trendy or modern - barstools and higher tables can leave everyone feeling a bit more at ease: laid back and relaxed, so that diners can focus on unwinding.
