Do you need easy access to your restaurant’s floor space? If so then it is important that your restaurant chairs design is based on its ability to be stackable. When you need access to the floor space, for example, having carpeted areas professionally cleaned, or for regular polishing of hard floors, you can stack the chairs conveniently out of the way.
It is strange how we miss some areas of running a business. Some chairs look great. They are comfortable to sit on for your patrons and often hard wearing and provide a long service life. In fact, everything a restaurateur could want in a chair. Let’s face it, on the surface it is only a chair.
Until that is it is time to do some work on the floors. Those very chairs can then become a nightmare. If they are not stackable then you have one of three choices. Place them on the tables, move them to one end of the dining room floor (which means you can only work on one half of the floor at a time), or remove them out of the dining room altogether (they will still require a large space).
Placing the chairs on the tables is a common practice. However, if you are stripping off the floors polish and applying a new coat, you want the chairs and the tables out of the room altogether.
Moving everything to one end of the dining room, cutting and polishing one half then moving everything back over the new surface is not only a pain, it doubles the cutting and polishing time - not to mention the possible damage to the freshly polished half.
Of course, moving everything out can also be a real pain. It takes a lot of floor space to house chairs that cannot be stacked. It also generally means that each chair is handled individually.
Incorporating stackability into your restaurant chairs design allows you to stack chairs and move them one stack at a time instead of one chair at a time. It means there is less floor space required to store them. This all allows for a quick pack away and return whenever you need to work on your floors.
When deciding on your restaurant chairs design, think beyond today and tomorrow. What will your needs be in three or six months? Will you need to regularly move your chairs for any reason? Stackable chairs can still be stylish and they can still be quite comfortable. They offer that one big advantage - they save space.
