Restaurant Booths Design - Think Beyond The Basics

August 8th, 2009 · No Comments

When considering a restaurant booths design, don’t forget to think beyond the basics. Restaurant owners often consider a range of features such as the material the booths are made from, the height of the booths backs and design features such as channels and head rolls. What is not often considered, until it’s too late, are issues such as cleaning and ease of replacement when damaged.

For example, do you look for restaurant booths with removable seats and back cushions that enable easy cleaning. The one thing you will quickly find is that crumbs, amongst other things, will quickly collect between the seat and the seats back. They will certainly collect more than just crumbs if your restaurant caters to families with young children.

If you are catering to families with young children, have you selected an easy to clean vinyl, or have you selected a fabric that shows stains easily? If it is a fabric, are they removable for laundering? These are all issues that need to be considered prior to purchasing new booths.

For a rustic look, you could consider wooden dining booths. These are, of course, far easier to clean, particularly if they have been varnished. Whilst easier to clean, it should be remembered that they are not always the most of comfortable of seats.

Your customers want to sit in clean comfortable booths. Don’t make it too hard on yourself, think beyond the basics when considering your restaurant booths design.
