Spring is right around the corner and what that means is people will soon start to get spring fever and want to get out of the house and go out to eat. many have been couped up inside their homes all winter and are waiting at the opportunity to get out to eat. Do you wish you had the budget to be able to fix your restaurant furniture up a bit and give it a new look? There are many inexpensive ways to clean up your existing furniture if the cash reserves are tight. It doesn’t matter if your furniture is wood or metal there are ways you can spruce it up to give your eating establishment a new lease on life.
Start with your chairs. If they are screwed together with nuts and bolts take them apart. Buy some sandpaper and give all the wooden parts of the chair a nice sanding. You want to really rough up the lacquer or paint that might currently exist on their now so that the new fresh layer will have something to adhere to nicely. Figure out if you want to refinish the wood or just paint it. If you just want to paint the chairs it might be a little quicker and easier but it really doesn’t matter. Always make sure to use a respirator on your mouth and nose and take care of this in a well ventilated area so you don’t get yourself or anyone else sick. Give the stain or paint at least two coats and always give a light sanding in between coats. This will make sure the coats really stick to the surface.
Once you have finished the initial painting process spray a nice clear coat on top at the end and let dry. This will give your furniture that nice shine and luster. Your tables or chairs will now have a new breathe of fresh air and your restaurants regular customers will notice your new upgrade.
