Now that summer is unofficially upon us, without a doubt your restaurant patio is in full effect. Is your design and layout all it should be? What factors should you consider?

What is your table size, are the tables big enough to accommodate your customers and their food comfortably, some restaurants jam as many small tables out on their patio as they can to maximize the space, however, I think that it’s more important to consider your customers comfort level, after all their needs come first.

Are your patio chairs comfortable? Will your customers be comfortable during their time at your restaurant? Will you choose metal patio chairs, with or without cushions? Are you going to go with the casual picnic table, or a more formal wood top table, or glass outdoor table? There are so many options when it comes to your outdoor patio tables. Another thing to consider is whether you will add umbrellas to your patio furniture design. The umbrellas come in all shapes, sizes and designs for whatever look you want to accomplish.

Whatever you decide to do with your outdoor patio design and layout, make sure you consider the comfort of your customers along with the wellbeing of your restaurant.
