New Trends in Restaurant Furniture: Making a Connection with the Menu

May 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

These days, it seems as though one of the common new trends in restaurant furniture involves making choices that are complementary to the items on your menu. Here’s one such example of this trend in action:

(source)With custom leather furniture from Italy and high-polish marble on bar tables; with true Kobe beef and a cart full of caviar on offer from the kitchen; with a wine list that spans $25 to $10,000 for a single bottle, Lucier aspires to be swankier than Bluehour, more contemporary than El Gaucho and as food-obsessed as Genoa during its heyday.

Now you may have no intention of outfitting a restaurant that has such a high end menu - for that matter, you, like many others, may not be able to fathom paying $10,000 for a bottle of wine - but still, it’s an important consideration.

When you are choosing your restaurant furniture, you’re going to want to pay attention to the foods that you’re planning to serve. You’re going to want to be sure that your restaurant has an upscale feel when you are serving high end food and a look that isn’t too “out of touch” or upscale if you’re planning to open a diner.

By making a connection between the restaurant furniture that you choose and the foods that you’ll be serving, you’ll find that you’re able to create a total package.
