Add A Bit Of Style To Your Bar Furniture

October 30th, 2009 · No Comments

bar furniture with a bit of styleBar furniture often looks boring. I think that some owners look more at the functionality of their bar furniture and forget that function does not preclude style - you can have both. Whether it is the overall design of the bar furniture, the fabrics used, or the colors - bar furniture can still look stylish.

Take the pictured bar stool. The design is fairly simple using modern thick lines. You can have your choice of fabrics and colors making it easier for you to customize it to suit your business. I know it raises a question in many minds when it comes to fabrics in bars - are they safe?

Bars are traditionally areas where drinks can be spilled easily. Murphy’s law suggests that the more expensive the furniture, the more drinks that will be spilled. However, if you act quickly most drinks will wipe away fairly easily. Many fabrics come treated with an anti staining inhibitor in place. These act to repel the liquids before they can soak in.

Your bar furniture is an indicator of the value you place on your bar and on your patrons. Providing poor quality furniture means that either you don’t care much for your restaurant or that you don’t care much about your patrons. Either way will lead to financial ruin.

Add some style to your bar furniture by adding color or by playing around with the different fabrics and effects available. If you do it well your patrons will appreciate it - and with it, your bottom line.
